Quality Control

The airline industry is perhaps the most quality controlled and regulated industry in the world today. Every aspect from Ground Handling, Maintenance, Passenger services, Cargo & Baggage loading and Security is regulated by Corporate, Government and International aviation Authorities.

As the major provider of ground-handling services at Nadi International Airport, we understand the importance of compliance and delivering services that our clients need and to the quality that they demand.

ATS services all international passenger flights into Nadi Airport, including a whole array of VIP charter flights from all over the world. Included in the airline business are their annual scheduled audits of ATS operations. These are in addition to the audits carried out by the Civil Aviation Authority of Fiji (CAAF).

The Quality Assurance Department plays a major role in ATS. Its responsibilities are focused on mandatory obligations on matters that concern Standards, Rules and Regulations. It is tasked with the monitoring and oversight of corporate performances to ensure compliance and adherence to Regulations and Legislations imposed by aviation Regulators and relevant governing bodies; locally and internationally. Aviation security is also a very important portfolio that the QA Department manages.

The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) is the governing world body that normally sets the standards and regulations that safeguard civil aviation operations through Safety, Security and Compliance to relevant Laws, practices and procedures. Any such Standard imposed is reviewed regularly for relevance, effectiveness and compliance.

CAAF is the local authority that implements Regulations and Legislations passed by ICAO, according to their suitability for Fiji’s prevailing conditions, capacity and capabilities to adopt and use. Being a member of ICAO, Fiji is deemed to be a ‘Contracting State’ that is obliged to abide by the rules that apply. 

ATS is also classified as a Part 145 Maintenance organization authorized to carry out Line maintenance and Technical support services to all airlines that it handles in Nadi.

Quality Assurance and associated activities of Audits, Inspections and Tests are vital aspects in the delivery of required services by ATS and helps the organization closer to achieving its Vision of being the Region’s Premier ground handling service provider.

Airline Certificates


We are also audited by the national civil aviation authority of every airline flying into Fiji.
 
These currently include:
  • Civil Aviation Authority of the Fiji Islands (CAAFI)
  • Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)
  • Civil Aviation Safety Authority of Australia (CASA Australia)
  • Civil Aviation Authority of New Zealand (CAA NZ) 
  • Civil Aviation Authority of Korea (CAA Korea)
CAAFI is a member of the International Civil Aviation Organization. There are 179 members of the ICAO and every Member State must conform to its recommended standards. One of ICAOs main activities is establishing international standards and recommending practices and procedures in the technical fields of aviation. As aviation technology continues to develop rapidly, the Standards are kept under constant review and amended as necessary. We at ATS comply with civil aviation regulations.

Occupational Health & Safety


We also comply with Fiji's Occupational Health and Safety requirements regulated by the Ministry of Health.
 
Apart from this, all catering is subjected to HACCP standards (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) which ensures that all food from our kitchens reaches passenger in perfect condition at 30,000 ft. We are also a major 145 maintenance repair station in the South Pacific capable of performing line maintenance and aircraft transit services in the region. This means we are authorized to carry out all On Wing Maintenance on our clients aircrafts.
